Soul Majestic, a reggae band from Santa Barbara, Calif., offered their hit "Better World" as a free download here on Climate Crossroads. The seven-member band offers a "youthful Jamaican-style edge" blended with a "laid-back California surf vibe" and a lyrical focus on bettering the planet through one person at a time. Better World -- the band's third album, released in 2009 -- is being followed by an eco-friendly tour on a bio-diesel bus. Since the band's start, its songs have gradually gravitated toward providing "awareness of global interconnectedness, and how people's actions impact one another and the earth," according to Soul Majestic's website.
