Minus Ted

For Minus Ted, it's about walking the talk.

"Living and working every day in the city makes us appreciate opportunities to get out and experience nature," said bandmember Brian O'Neill. "And you can't walk under a canopy of trees or hike in the hills without realizing how we all need to be involved in protecting these beautiful places for future generations."

Minus Ted was formed in 1993 by New York actors O'Neill and Skipp Sudduth. With the addition in 1994 of veteran percussionist Tom McGrath, a frequent collaborator with the NYC-based Mimi Gerard Dance Company and co-founder of the avant-garde experimental duo Cellovision, the two singer/songwriters produced their own independent debut album "Hope and Damage," which received considerable airplay on college radio stations around the country and in Europe as well.

Their highly acclaimed follow-up album "Really Really," recorded live at Theatre-Off-Park in New York City, took the guitar and harmony to another level with the addition of mandolin virtuoso and electric guitar-man Dr. Terry Pender, Professor of Electronic Composition at Columbia University. It also included the rocking accordion swell of the one and only Radoslav Lorkovic, who is a regular performer with Greg Brown, Richard Shindell, and the Andy White Band.

Minus Ted provided their song "Article of Faith" as a free download on Climate Crossroads.
